How Apple can benefit from a “Jobs-less” existence

First off, let me say I wish Steve Jobs and his family good health. I never like to write pieces about someone who is not at the top of their game due to a health issue. Get well, Steve, we will miss you. Now then, on to what the next six months, maybe more, have in store for Apple…

Apple and the next five months

I’m sure you’ve all read about Steve’s latest announcement. I’m also sure you have your own opinions about the matter. How could you not? I’d like to share mine with you now. In Steve’s most recent letter, he stated “… during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought.” I don’t mean to be nit picky, but is it more complex than Steve thought, or more complex than his doctors thought? Jobs has a long history of waiting on health issues. He waited for 9 months to receive any treatment (or make announcements for that matter) the last time around, according to CNN. So, if Jobs is being consistent, then this must be serious enough.
