Disney acquires Tapulous
The Walt Disney Co.—the media and entertainment company behind films such as The Black Hole and Return of the Apple Dumpling Gang announced late last night that they’ve acquired Tapulous, maker of the immensely popular iPhone rhythm tapping game Tap Tap Radiation. The move is seen as an attempt to ramp up its creation of mobile games. No word yet on Tap Tap Hannah Montana.
Appletell reviews Tap Tap Radiation for iPad
With a very successful iPhone game series, I was not surprised to find that Tapolous has already brought its latest Tap Tap game to the iPad. Tap Tap Radiation takes full advantage of the iPad’s larger screen real estate. The result is a more colorful, eye-appealing music game that makes you crave more and, therefore, purchase the paid tracks after completing the five tracks that come free by default.
Appletell Review – Tap Tap Revenge for iPhone/iPod touch
Tap Tap Revenge is an incredibly fun game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s somewhat of a clone of the popular game Guitar Hero for other consoles, except that you use your finger to hit the notes. The game allows single and multiplayer functionality, the ability to download more tracks to use with the game (although its old functionality of allowing you to use your own songs for the game has been removed due to Apple’s strict rules on App Store apps), and the ability to participate in Tapulous’ tournaments to win cool prizes.
Full review after the break.
