Target confirms special Apple displays
Appletell recently reported on the rumor that Apple is going to open stores-within-a-store in 25 Target locations with the possibility of expanding across the country if they do well. Target has confirmed this will happen, but they may take a different form.
Rumor: Apple to open stores inside Target
Not everyone is fortunate to live in areas that have a large enough population to warrant an Apple store being built. You can always buy online, but what if you want to see the product before you make your purchasing decision? If there’s a Target nearby, you may be in luck; Apple is rumored to be opening a store-within-a-store inside Target at certain locations later this year.
“Very last minute” Apple deals at Target
Target continues to be wildly inaccurate in their sale labeling, but we won’t complain too much when the deals include Apple products and third-party accessories. Their “Very Last-Minute” Holiday Deals ad is five or six days too soon, but you won’t want to wait too much longer to get all the gift cards their offering for iPods, headphones, and more.
Target offers Apple iDevice and accessory deals
It’s a bit too early to be launching “last minute” holiday deals, but that won’t prevent us from letting you know what Target has going on…especially when so many of them are centered around Apple’s iDevices. There’s also Target’s Electronics Trade-In service to consider. Used iPhones, iPads, iPods, Nintendo DS units, cellphones, video games, calculators and DVDs can be traded in for credit good for most Target purchases.
Target’s pre-Black Friday deals on Apple devices and accessories
Black Friday is rapidly approaching, but you don’t have to wait for the deals to roll around. You need go no further than the local Target for evidence of that, as company has already started offering incentives to give them your hard-earned cash in exchange for some of the best Apple products. You can get deals on the iPod touch and iPod shuffle, along with some of the cooler iOS device accessories.
Upgrade your old iPhone at Target
Starting this Sunday, February 6th, and ending on Saturday, February 12th, those with a used iPhone 3G or 3GS in working condition will be able to trade their old iDevices in at Target and receive up to $200 in credit towards an iPhone 4. However, this great deal comes with the price of having to sign a 2-year contract with AT&T. Target is also offering deals on console games and other electronics, including GPS systems and camcorders.
Soon, you’ll be able to buy an iPad at Target
Today, Target officially confirmed the rumor that they will start carrying iPads in October. As of October 3rd, you’ll be able to pick up a WiFi iPad in all capacities, but only one (unknown) capacity WiFi + 3G iPad. You can already get an iPad from Best Buy or any Apple Store, but Target can only help sales of this netbook killer we know and love.
Black Friday deals round-up [updated]
We are swiftly approaching Black Friday. Or, as I like to call it, the best work day of the year. The highways are empty, clients don’t call, and the boss is usually gone so I can play Call of Duty 4 multiplayer with my coworkers all day long.
A lot of you, however, will be out shopping. Over the past couple of weeks, the Dabbledoo sites have been reporting on numerous developer deals and “leaked” retail ads, so we’ve collected the best of them here for you in one neat article, organized by retailer and product type. As Friday approaches, we’ll continue to update this list, so be sure to check back often.
