Free apps roundup for May 21st, 2010
Twitterers rejoice, for this is your week. Twitter now has their own official app that goes by the same name. And they did it the right way; they bought the best app out there—Tweetie 2—and made it free for all. But that’s not all, I have a bunch of other apps on the list this week to keep your home pages full.
How I survived a week with only my iPhone (Essential Apps)
While Walt Disney World certainly is the place where dreams come true, it’s not the most tech friendly place; WiFi access runs $10 a day, which after three days would pay for your 3G access from AT&T for a month with a 3G iPad. Or, you could rough it with just your iPhone. I chose the latter, and these 3G friendly apps helped me do so without shaking in the corner as a result of my Internet addiction. I call them “My Essential Apps.”
First look: Tweetie 2 for iPhone
Atebits have aimed to keep the interface looking like an Apple iPhone app should look, but ensuring that as many features as possible are included, without over-facing the app itself. I think they’ve done a great job in that respect. With so many new features and a great user interface, I would certainly recommend Tweetie 2 to any iPhone Twitter user.
