Free Apps roundup for December 11th, 2009
It’s the first night of Hanukkah tonight, and whether or not you care, I’m sure you won’t object to unwrapping some free apps. There’s an awesome video streaming app from Ustream, a dictation app that should cost at least $10, a Gorillacam for your Gorillapod, an IMDb app, and more!
UStream Live Broadcaster brings live video streaming to iPhone, even over 3G
With the appearance of UStream Live Broadcaster (free) in the App Store, members of the UStream community will now be able to share, via the web, what they are doing while on the go. Much like the actual website, you have the opportunity to save your videos and mute the audio during and after the livestream. Furthermore, you can even post to Twitter right from the application to let your followers know you’re live streaming.
Follow the inauguration on your iPhone
Tomorrow is a big day, and there are many ways to watch the Presidential Inauguration. You can watch it on TV, on Hulu, Joost, the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s web site, Ustream, and a variety of other places. However, what if you’re not near a television/computer? Easy; you’ll be able to hear the inauguration tomorrow using Talk Radio, an application designed for the iPhone that runs for $2.
