Appletell review – DataCase, wireless storage utility for iPhone and iPod Touch

If you’ve been waiting for the right program to allow your iPhone to store files, your wait might be over. DataCase is out of beta and in the App Store. If early reviews on iTunes are to be trusted, this might be the best wireless storage solution yet for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

We reported earlier on Veiosoft’s decision to delay the release of DataCase from the originally planned launch date of July 28. Veiosoft wanted to release an app as close to bug-free as possible. I think they’ve done a great job.

DataCase – iPhone file server and viewer delayed for a bugless release

Originally, Veiosoft was slated to release their app DataCase July 28th. They’ve since decided to utilize Apple’s App Store Beta testing service. The service allows Veiosoft to release their app to 100 iPhones for testing, in order to avoid any bugs in the official release next week.

DataCase is a tool to wirelessly access the storage space on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The beauty of the app is that you don’t need any special uploading programs. The device shows up in the Finder under the Shared section, and allows you to drag and drop your files to and from your device. Heaven forbid you might be forced into using a PC, fret not. The app works with any computer that is connected to your wireless network.

Details and video after the break.
