How to use FaceTIme on multiple Macs and iDevices with the same Apple ID

Finally, Apple’s FaceTime is available on Mac computers in addition to the iPhone 4 and the most recent iPod touch. And if you’re anything like me, you have more than just one of the aforementioned devices, but just one Apple ID. No worries, if your Apple ID is linked to a Gmail account, there’s an easy way to effectively use it with every device you have. This is more of a feature of Gmail than it is of FaceTime, but the two combine extremely well. Gmail supports modifications to your standard email address by adding a plus sign and a string of characters between your username and @.

Leaked images confirm iPhone Video?

Last minute leaked images before a keynote don’t always predict the future with 100% accuracy, but I tend to think they have a better track record than images that get “leaked” earlier. These images show what we’ve been seeing and hearing lately in rumors. Clearly, this image depicts the iPhone with a front facing camera used for video conferencing.

Apple planning video conferencing iPhone?

Information Week writer Alexander Wolfe has taken the time to scour through some iPhone patents recently in preparation for the Palm Pre and iPhone patent battle that may very well happen soon. However, while searching for potential infringements, he stumbled upon some interesting wording in patent number 7,479,949 that may very well show how serious Apple is about adding recording functionality to the iPhone. More impressive than the usual 30 second or so video clip that most phones allow on the market today, Wolfe believes that Apple will really blow this one away.

We’re certain about 3G, now lets speculate features!

Okay, its official. 3G iPhone rumors have become a little too much. Asking “Will a 3G iPhone be released at WWDC?” is up there with the likes of “Does a bear use the restroom in the woods?” and “Is the Pope Catholic?” In other words, yes. It will be there. I am willing to bet my first-born son on that (though you may be waiting a good 10 to 15 years for a payout should I be mistaken, but, as you may see above, I’m pretty darn sure I’m not).

Now that I have stated how certain I am of 3G at WWDC, let’s start a new discussion. Other than the look and feel of the new iPhone, what will be changed in iPhone OS 2.0? Read on to hear my take on the subject.
