[Rumor] Apple to implement faster wireless network specification
The current range of Apple products—such as the Macintosh, AirPort and iOS devices—all utilize the current standard of 802.11n specification, but if rumors pan out we will soon be seeing a new network of 802.11ac chips that would feature better range and power efficiency than the existing chips.
Next iPhone rumored to have support for 802.11n and more
Either Apple is doing what they obviously should by adding 802.11n to the feature list of the next iPhone or someone knows what I want and is making up detailed rumors to make me salivate. I’m sticking with the first. AppleInsider dug up some information pertaining to a new WiFi and Bluetooth chip that’s supposed to make it’s way into a new iPod touch, and through the law of obviousness, a new iPhone. The current chip, which you should know by name (BCM4325), supposedly will be upgraded to BCM4329. That’s 4 points higher!

DataCase – iPhone file server and viewer delayed for a bugless release
Originally, Veiosoft was slated to release their app DataCase July 28th. They’ve since decided to utilize Apple’s App Store Beta testing service. The service allows Veiosoft to release their app to 100 iPhones for testing, in order to avoid any bugs in the official release next week.
DataCase is a tool to wirelessly access the storage space on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The beauty of the app is that you don’t need any special uploading programs. The device shows up in the Finder under the Shared section, and allows you to drag and drop your files to and from your device. Heaven forbid you might be forced into using a PC, fret not. The app works with any computer that is connected to your wireless network.

Look out Italy, here comes the iPhone!
La Repubblica, a well known Italian publication, is reporting, in Italian of course, that there will soon be a 3G iPhone in Italy. However, this would be no normal release. Apple: Fix AirDisk Backups. Now
After a recent Firmware Update causing Time Machine preferences to see Hard Disks attached to Airport Extreme Base Stations, many AEBS owners were ecstatic over the Time Capsule-like ability to do wireless backups. But as I personally found out when the Disk refused to mount on the fifth backup, this solution is not fully baked more »
