iPhone 4 case product announcements

Steve Jobs announced during his WWDC Keynote yesterday that Apple would be shipping their first iPhone case for the new device, to be called Bumpers. But they weren’t the only ones to promote their cases on announcement day. iLuv, Uncommon and Case-mate were also quick to show off their new accessories, so jump past the break to see what your iPhone 4 could be wearing later this month.

WWDC 2010: iPhone 4 video calling

As the “one more thing…” in this year’s WWDC keynote, Steve Jobs announced FaceTime—the video calling feature of iPhone 4. Thanks to the new front-facing camera (although it also works with the rear camera), users will be able to make video calls to each other, seeing themselves and recipients on screen.

WWDC 2010: iPhone 4 gains 5 megapixel camera with LED flash

The fourth generation of the Apple iPhone has been released at today’s WWDC keynote. One of the main features of the hardware is the upgrade of the main camera and the inclusion of a front facing camera, most likely for video chat purposes. The main camera has been upgraded from 3 to 5 megapixels, and it now uses a backside illuminated sensor for the highest possible quality.

WWDC 2010: Apple releases iPhone 4 [updated]

It’s here, it’s happened. The rumors proved correct, and Gizmodo did indeed have their hands on the next generation of the iPhone. Having said that though, according to Jobs, the device has over 100 new features including, of course, an all-new design.

WWDC 2010: iBooks add Notes, PDF support

Steve Jobs started off this year’s keynote with a few updates coming to the iBooks application for the iPad and iPhone. For one, iBooks will support PDF viewing in the application later this month. According to Steve Jobs, “They look just gorgeous.” Furthermore, iBooks will also be adding Notes and bookmark support. Using Notes, you will be able to type information alongside of content in the book to view later. You can also add bookmarks that will show up in the table of contents for the book.

WWDC: Apple unveils Snow Leopard details

In other news from this years WWDC, Apple has given more details of Snow Leopard. However, they also managed to bash not only Windows Vista as usual, but Windows 7 as well, saying it still has the same registry issues, among other things. That said, Snow Leopard sounds like it is going to be really awesome. Best of all? It will be released in September for only $29.

WWDC: Apple updates MacBook Pro

In the first of what will be plenty of WWDC announcements, Apple has released an update to their MacBook Pro lines that will be shipping starting today. The new line (15-inch and 17-inch) has a built in SD card slot as well as a better display, and the extended, revolutionary built-in battery that was currently only in the 17-inch MacBook Pro. Although this battery isn’t replaceable, Apple has said that it will get up to 1,000 charges, meaning that you won’t cause harm to the environment like other battery manufacturers (five year life). The backlit keyboard will now be standard, and there is a 13-inch model of the MacBook Pro as well. Most of the machines come with 4GB RAM standard.

Pangea announces Cro-Mag Rally and Enigmo for iPhone

Brian Greenstone of Pangea Software announced two games for the iPhone at the WWDC keynote today. Already favorites on the Mac, Enigmo and Cro-Mag Rally will both be available for the iPhone through the iApp store for $9.99.
