Zenonia 3: The Midgard Story for iPhone and iPod touch review
Zenonia 3 is still a wonderfully deep RPG adventure that not only harkens back to the halcyon days of the GameBoy Legend of Zelda games, but that builds on them to take advantage of the more modern gaming systems. You can lose dozens of hours in these games. Yet, I couldn’t help but feel when playing through Zenonia 3 that retro is starting to feel a bit stale.
Zenonia 3 now available for iPhone and iPod touch
Every time I play Zenonia on the iPhone, I think I’d rather be playing it on the Wii. It’s that big, and it’s that good. And although Gamevil hasn’t yet given us that, they have given us Zenonia 3: The Midgard Story, now available for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad (sadly, though, it’s not a Universal app).
Appletell reviews Zenonia 2 for iPhone, iPod touch
I don’t want to play this game on the iPhone, I really don’t. It has no business being there. It’s too big, both in presentation and scope. I said the same of its predecessor—Zenonia—but it’s doubly true here. This game needs to be on the iPad, and it needs to be there yesterday. But if you’re an RPG fan with an iPhone or iPod touch but without the patience to wait for a possible iPad release, you absolutely should play Zenonia 2: The Lost Memories now.
Appletell reviews Zenonia for iPhone, iPod touch
I’m not playing this game because I had tremendous interest in it. Zenonia’s nearly a year old, you see, having been released in the U.S. in May of 2009. So, why play through it now? Because Zenonia 2 is due out this month, and if that game is half as cool as it looks, you owe it to yourself to work through this action-JRPG before its sequel is released. Zenonia is a big, satisfying game on a system that’s unsatisfyingly small.
