Last September, Kenwood announced that it was getting into the auto racing game, becoming both the official supplier of radio communications systems and an associate-level sponsor for Penske Racing in both NASCAR and the open-wheel IRL IndyCar Series. Kenwood is also the primary sponsor of driver Sam Hornish, Jr., who drives the #06 Kenwood Dodge Charger.
