Just days after it was purchased by EchoStar for $380 million, Sling Media made another big announcement: It is releasing a version of the popular Slingbox for under $200, MultiChannel News reported.
The new device, called the Slingbox Solo, will retail for $179.99, which is $100 lower than the price of the standard Slingbox. It will be available at Best Buy, Circuit City, Amazon, and several other retail outlets.
A “place-shifting” device, the Slingbox allows users to watch their TVs from the road.
