Ambient Devices has released a new, high-tech umbrella that looks like any other umbrella- except that it can actually sense when rain or snow is on the way, within 12 hours. If rain is forecasted, the umbrella lights up, as to indicate that taking the umbrella with you is necessary. It can fit in an umbrella stand, or stand upright.
The umbrella works by receiving data from Accuweather.com, and has separate lights for indicating rain, drizzling, snow, and thunderstorms. The Ambient Umbrella is now available, at a suggested retail price of $125.
