Apple next week will introduce a new line of iPods, with more features, but no corresponding rise in price compared with the current models, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
Citing several Web sites that cover Apple extensively, the Journal said that the changes will include Apple’s “homegrown operating system,” a first for the iPod brand. They will also be smaller, with more capacity for digital media. The report compared the change to the recent update of Apple’s iMac line, which was introduced in July.
Apple has scheduled a media event, Sept. 5 in San Francisco, to unveil the new product.
