BlackBerry owners whose use of the mobile wireless devices is out of control will have a new place to commiserate online, now that CrackBerry.com has officially launched.

The site, launched by Kevin Michaluk, decided to create a site devoted to the ubiquitous communication device because he wanted to find a way to connect the nation’s 9 million BlackBerry owners, and give them both “a fix, and a cure.” The site includes tips for optimizing the devices, various BlackBerry-related downloads, and social contact tools for meeting other ‘Berry enthusiasts.

For those with a BlackBerry problem on their hands, the site also includes tips on how to avoid “BlackBerry thumb,” and other ailments.

Users will be also be able to create e-mail addresses with “@crackberry.com” domain name. And yes, the site is viewable from BlackBerrys.

The earliest known use of the term “CrackBerry” is from a 2000 interview by Fortune magazine editor Geoff Colvin with Dennis Kavelman, chief financial officer of Research in Motion, the company behind BlackBerry. Colvin referred to people he knew on Wall Street who had been using the term.
