Despite all of the attention paid in recent years to green electronics, are customers less interested in green CE than previously thought? That’s the conclusion of a new survey released this week by Retrevo, a Web site that matches people and electronics.
According to the survey, 35 percent of customers surveyed are not willing to pay a premium for green electronics. And while three quarters of those surveyed claim that energy-efficient products are important to them, less than 50 percent have actually bought such a product. In addition, many consumers say they don’t necessary trust "green" labels on products.
