Acer Monday announced it has launched a new green laptop line called the Timeline series. The notebooks are completely free of PVCs and BFRs, and are also biodegradeable.
“he chemical characteristics of PVC and BFRs may generate toxic substances like dioxins and furans at products’ end-of-life, therefore, the reduction of PVC and BFRs in Acer products will help protect our environment from being poisoned by electronics goods,” the company said in a statement.
Greenpeace has verified the statements made by Acer in regards to the products.
