South by Southwest Interactive 2010 is a little over two weeks away, and I'm getting ready.  Here are just a few highlights:

Twitter CEO Evan Williams Keynote: 'Nuff said.

Augmented Reality: Reality Check: This, and not 3D, was the most exciting tech I saw at 2010 CES.

Battledecks: Competitive PowerPoint improvisation.  Seriously.

The Birth of Eye-Def Acting: Getting a very Avatar vibe off of this one.

Blah Blah Blah: Why Words Won't Work: From the author of The Back of the Napkin, which in and of itself raises my eyebrows.

A Brave New Future for Book Publishing: If you remember last year's attempt at an open forum on the future of book publishing, you'll know why I'm psyched for this one.

Clay Shirky Presentation: That's all it says.  And you know what?  That's all it has to say.  He could sit there talking about regrouting his tub and we'd all get smarter.

Crowdsourcing: The Ensemble's Experience w/ the Netflix Prize: This is one of most interesting stories of the past few years.  Curious to hear it firsthand.

There are no less than three panels on DSLR filmmaking.  I'm going to try to make at least one.

Gaming the Crowd: Turning Work Into Play: I've seen some cool examples of this in the past.

No Touching! Truly Invisible Interfaces: More augmented reality goodness, but certainly not limited to  that topic.

What If Your Phone Had Five Senses?: I'm not sure what that means, but I'm going to find out.

Anything with HTML5 in the title.  If this is the reason I ain't got no flash on my iPhone (or iPad), I want to know why.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
