Panasonic said this week that it has reached a deal with Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to provide HD displays throughout Angel Stadium. The team will put 350 HD plasma and LCD panels throughout the stadium as part of the deal.
“Baseball is one of the most advanced sports in terms of applying cutting edge technologies to further engage fan participation and appeal to the sport’s immense international audience,” Jim Doyle, president of Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company, said as part of the announcement. “The Angels organization sets a great example of further enhancing the fan experience throughout Angel Stadium with the latest advances in display technology. When fans attend Angels’ games, they will be entertained by an impactful video experience that is powered by Panasonic.”
The deal is the latest sports-related announcement from Panasonic. The company also has a significant presence at the Winter Olympics, including its sponsorship of American figure skater Mirai Nagasu.
