Apple and Verizon are currently in talks on a potential deal to bring the iPhone to Verizon's wireless network in the U.S., according to a note from an analyst Monday.
However, the negotiations are “not finalized with important details still being ironed out,” including “technology and economics, Kaufman Bros. analyst Shaw Wu wrote in a note to investors Monday, Fortune magazine's Apple 2.0 blog reported.
Wu did not rule out T-Mobile, Sprint, or more than one of the above getting the iPhone in 2011, and also raised the possibility that a second carrier could get the phone next year, with Verizon offering it that year or 2012.
