LG TV Monday announced an array of new 3D products, which will combine the company's Infinia LED HDTVs with the company's first 3D-capable Blu-ray players as well as glasses.
The products will be offered in a bundle known as “1-2-3D,” in which customers who purchase a 55-inch LX9500 or 47-inch LX6500 LED HDTV along with the 3D Blu-ray player while also receive two pairs of the 3D glasses, as well as a $100 instant rebate and a redemption certificate for the 3D film “IMAX Under the Sea 3D.”
The product can also access NetCast Entertainment Access, which includes content from Netflix, YouTube, Vudu and more.
“While consumers are still seeking the ultimate 2D HDTV home entertainment experience, demand for 3D technology is growing by the day, and as more content becomes available in the 3D format, this demand will continue to increase,” Peter Reiner, senior vice president, marketing, LG Electronics USA, said as part of the announcement.
“LG is now providing consumers with ‘something better’ in 3D ― sleek design, entertainment and online content options, and the extraordinary picture and sound quality that people have come to expect from LG.”
