Sony's 3D-capable Bravia HDTVs are now available for pre-sales at Sony stores, with the TVs arriving in stores next month.
In addition, the company has released a firmware update that makes 3D capability ready for two Blu-ray Disc players (BDP-S470 and BDP-S570) and home theater systems (BDV-E570 and BDV-E770W).
“3D is revolutionizing the entertainment industry and only Sony is involved in every stage of the ecosystem,” Chris Fawcett, vice president of Sony’s television business, said in a statement. “Leveraging deep 3D expertise from the company’s theatrical and professional groups, Sony products are optimized to offer the best possible 3D home entertainment experience.”
The company also said that NFL superstar Peyton Manning and pop superstar Justin Timberlake will appear in commercials for the the 3D products.
