Amazon Thursday announced the release of its new shopping app for the Apple iPad. The app allows for easy search and purchase of products from Amazon's store, in addition to special features.
The app is available free of charge through Apple's App Store. Apple also offers a Kindle app for the iPad.
Following the launch of the Amazon App for iPhone and iPod touch, we’ve used our customers’ feedback to help us build a fun and intuitive shopping destination on the iPad,” Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile, said as part of the announcement. “This application offers customers a unique, interactive experience that takes full advantage of the visual and tactile nature of the iPad.”
