Apple is out of stock of 3G-enabled iPad devices in most of its stores in several U.S. cities, Bloomberg News reported Thursday. An Apple spokeswoman told Bloomberg that demand is exceeding supply for the device, and the company is “working hard” to meet demand.
The chain's four New York City stores and three San Francisco locations were all out of the 3G device as of Thursday, which was also true of some stores in Chicago, Boston and other stores.
According to AppleInsider.com, Apple is making a “Notify Me” service available to email customers when the devices are available.
