The first-ever Sprint phone running on the 4G WiMax network will arrive in the first half of this year, the telecom giant confirmed this week to Forbes' Velocity blog.
The WiMax network, now available in 27 U.S. markets, as of now only works with PC cards, modems, and other non-phone devices.
The company did not confirm who will make the new phone or what software it will run, although multiple reports have indicated that HTC and Android are the respective manufacturer and operating system.
