Sony said this week that its dash personal Internet viewer device, which was unveiled at CES last month, will feature streaming of movies and TV shows from Netflix, as well as other content.
The device, which will be available in April for around $199, will also feature content from eHow, Golflink and LIVESTRONG.COM, all of which are part of the Demand Media stable. The device will also feature 1,500 apps from Sony's Bravia Internet Video platform.
“We're continuing to develop innovative products that bring online music, news, video and more into our customers' homes in real time,” Brennan Mullin, senior vice president of Sony Electronics' personal imaging and audio business, said in a statement.
“By adding content from Netflix and Demand Media to our dash product, Sony is giving consumers a new, convenient way to enjoy some of the highest quality entertainment and most useful information available on the Internet today.”
