Sony is preparing to unveil the first laptop and camera products featuring the company's TransferJet technology, which was first demonstrated nearly two years ago. According to the IDG News Service, the short-range wireless system will be available in the Sony Vaio F laptop and in a pair of digital cameras, the TX7 and HX5V.
The products will launch in the U.S. in February, after debuting in Japan this month.
Sony hopes the new technology can replace wires for, say, downloading pictures from a camera to a computer.
