In a major tech announcement away from CES, Google Tuesday unveiled the Nexus One smartphone, the software giant's first-ever self-branded CE device.
The phone, which the company calls a “superphone,” is available now, either for $179 for a two-year contract with T-Mobile or 529 without a service plan directly from Google. The company also announced the Verizon Wireless will carry the Nexus One “soon.”
Running Google's Android 2.0 software, the Nexus One boasts OLED display technology and a touchscreen display.
