As International CES next month, Ford Motor Co. will announce an upgraded version of its Sync in-car system, which will include seamless interaction with any application with the user’s phone or music player, the Detroit News reported Thursday, citing "sources familiar with the company’s plans."

The service will be available in new models, while existing Sync users can download the upgrade. The features will be voice control-enabled, allowing easy access to Internet radio, downloaded content, and other services available on smartphones.

Ford’s CEO, Alan Mulally, will deliver a keynote address at CES, and the 2010 Ford Taurus has been named the official car for the event.
