Optoma has announced the release of the HD66, the company’s first-ever 3D-ready HD home theater projector. The product is being pitched as ideal for both home entertainment and gaming uses.
“3D brings a new dimension to both the gaming and movie experiences,” Jon Grodem, Optoma’s director of product and marketing, said as part of the announcement. “While gaming is poised to lead the charge in 3D content in the home, movies will follow soon. And the 3D Ready HD66 brings it all home in one HD projector at an affordable price.”
The product, which weighs five pounds and features a 4000:1 contrast ratio, has an MSRP of $699.
