Walmart will sell a Magnavox Blu-ray Disc player for $78 on Black Friday, believed to be the lowest official price ever for the technology, the company told the AP.
Other sale prices announced by the company for the day after Thanksgiving include a $598 50-inch Sanyo plasma TV, a $59 TomTom GPS, and various clothing and toy discounts.
Blu-ray players have been spotted at as long as $99 at various times at Best Buy and Walmart in recent months.
