Monster and HP announced Tuesday that they are teaming up on a new line of cobranded products. The "HP Monster" line will include a variety of products, including USB, Ethernet and HDMI cables, as well as product protection and cleaning products.
"In this digital universe, the home network is at the center of a ‘digital lifestyle’ that brings together home theater, portable electronics, computers and peripherals, as well as Internet connectivity," Head Monster Noel Lee said in a statement. "Monster is indeed fortunate to be working with HP, one of the world’s most trusted names in computer products, on this new line of co-branded products – from cables capable of meeting or outperforming the highest industry speeds and specifications to power products with the advanced surge protection required by digital electronics and more.”
The USB line includes the standard USB Cable ($19.95 and $24.95 for different sizes) and two more high-speed USB 700 cables ($24.95 and $29.95); The Mini USB Cable 700 ($19.95 and $24.95 for different sizes) and the Extend USB Cable 700 ($29.95).
Also offered are the ethernet cable ($19.95, $24.95 and $29.95 for different sizes), HDMI cables of standard and high speeds ($79.95 for the latter); a $29.95 VGA Cable, a $49.95 DVI monitor cable, and a Port 700 Cable ($89.95 and $99.95 for the two sizes.)
The line also includes four Digital PowerCenters ranging from $34.95 to $119.95; a 24.95 seven-outlet surge protector and a $16.95 Screen Clean Kit.
Some of the products will arrive this month, and the remaining ones will be released by the end of the year.
