Sprint has announced the pricing and release date for the new Pixi smartphone, the smaller counterpart of the existing Palm Pre device. The Sprint-exclusive device will sell for $99.99, with a two-year contract after a $50 instant rebate and $100 mail-in rebate, and be available Nov. 15.
The Pixi will be available at Best Buy, RadioShack, and some Walmart stores, in addition to Sprint stores.
“We are excited to offer the new Palm Pixi to our customers in time for the holiday season, and it’s a great addition to Sprint’s industry-leading device portfolio,” Kevin Packingham, Sprint’s senior vice president of Product Development, said as part of the announcement.
