Verizon over the weekend launched a massive advertising campaign for the Droid, its first-ever Android phone, with ads taken out on numerous Sunday programming, including NFL broadcasts.
Following up on Verizon’s "There’s a Map For That" ads, which took aim at Apple’s similar campaign, the commercial takes aim at the iPhone, pointing out that Apple’s popular device lacks a real keyboard, high-resolution pictures, widgets and other features.
The ad, while featuring a pop song a la Apple’s iPod commercials, lists "iDon’t" ahead of all of those features, before teasing the Droid itself, with the slogan "Droid Does."
The Droid, a device made by Motorola, is scheduled to arrive in stores in November. See the ad below.
