For anyone constantly on-the-go these days and in need of their Internet fix, the HannsNote is definitely for them. As soon as I took it out of the box I was floored by its weight. At a lightweight 2.9 lbs., this 10" ultra-mobile PC with LED backlight can be toted around and fit very easily in any schoolbag, briefcase or even a woman’s handbag. I used my messenger bag to lug it around  a trade show I had recently attended and kept forgetting I had it in the bag.

The HannsNote includes a 6-Cell Lithium-Ion battery that is supposed to last up to 5 hours on a single charge. However, I could only squeeze about 4.5 hours out of it. It also packs a huge performance punch by including the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz Processor, Windows XP operating system, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, 1.3 MP webcam, 3-in-1 card reader and a full function keyboard.

The keys are tapered and pretty responsive and I really didn’t have much of a problem typing on them. The touchpad is a little small, but again, very responsive. The 10" LCD is average, but sports bright colors, good viewing angles and its matte finish is also a nice plus.

A protective carrying sleeve and cleaning cloth are included and the HannsNote is offered in two colors: High-gloss Pearl Black and Pearl White.

With an MSRP of $379.99, the HannsNote offers good value for the money, despite some of its average specs.
