Weeks after Best Buy launched its Twitter-based Twelpforce tech support effort, the retail giant is already striking back at Twitter users falsely claiming to work for the company or be part of the campaign, MinnPost.com reported.

"With the recent launch of Best Buy’s Twelpforce, there has been a wave of people SO excited about the initiative that they decided they wanted to be a part of it," Best Buy employee John B. posted to the Best Buy Apps official blog Tuesday. "However, these people aren’t a part of Best Buy.  We’re flattered, but we also don’t think it’s right that they could be taking advantage of YOU, and using our brand to do it."

The post also included a list of Twitter usernames that have been used in the practice.
