A government panel warned Tuesday that the GPS system, used by millions of consumers worldwide, could fail as soon as next year.
According to Fox News, which cited a Government Accountability Office report, "mismanagement and underinvestment" on the part of the U.S. Air Force could lead to the failure of the satellites that propel the system. The GAO urged the Air Force to deploy the next generation of GPS satellites on time, in order to avoid disruption.
