Apple is getting set to announce the Sling Media Slingplayer for Apple’s App Store. AppleInsider reported that the app, which was first announced in January, will be announced this week, but will only be supported by WiFi, eschewing 3G support.
The application, which can transmit TV video from your TV in the fashion of the Slingbox, will be available in the App Store for $29.99 in the US and Canada. Other Slingplayers have appeared on other devices, including AT&T’s BlackBerry Bold.
