DISH Network last week announced that it has launched DISH Remote Access service, which will allow the service’s customers to manage their programming remotely, whether by recording programs or otherwise managing their DVR devices.
The company also announced the impending release, later this year, of the ViP(R) 922 HD DVR, which will feature all of the above features, plus the ability to actually watch recorded programming remotely. This will utilize Slingbox technology, as DISH purchased that company’s parent company, Sling Media, last year.
