Scosche Industries this week introduced a new iPod and iPhone accessory called the passPORT Home Dock charging adapter.
Working with the iPhone 3G, second-generation iPod Touch and the fourth-generation iPod Nano, the adapter helps fit the product into previously incompatible docking stations.
"passPORT Home Dock provides a cost effective solution for anyone that wants to use their new iPhone 3G or iPod on an older dock that does not support USB 5 volt charging," the company’s executive vice president, Kas Alves, said as part of the announcement. "Scosche engineers developed the product to ensure all audio, video and data functionality of the iPhone 3G an iPods are passed directly through the passPORT Home Dock."
The product will retail for $39.99 when it is released in May.
