Garmin Plans Android Handset

Garmin’s long-awaited Nuvifone handset may not have arrived yet, but the navigation provider is already planning its second phone- and it’s an Android.

The company, which recently joined Google’s Open Handset Alliance, confirmed last week that the phone is in development, but did not announce a release date, according to Wired. The Nuvifone, originally scheduled for this holiday season, is set to arrive in the first quarter of next year.
