RadioShack announced last week that it will soon begin carrying a 3G netbook from Acer.
The Acer Aspire One, which retails for just $99.99 with a two-year mobile broadband service agreement from AT&T. It represents what the retailer believes will be a rapidly growing category next year.
"Many people internationally are already enjoying the portability, on-the-go connectivity and affordability of this emerging new technology," Peter Whitsett, RadioShack’s executive vice president of merchandising, said as part of the announcement. "We are proud to introduce this concept in the U.S. by offering a netbook with integrated 3G functionality in addition to full Wi-Fi capability.
