AT&T this week began both accepting online orders for the iPhone 3G and allowing users to activate the devices at home, after not allowing such transactions for most of the six months that the popular device has been on the market.
According to AppleInsider.com, the activations can be done by both customers new to AT&T and existing customers switching to the iPhone. Apple has not offered a similar service through its Web site.
