Garmin’s first-ever mobile phone device, called the Nuvifone, which was set for release this year but then delayed, is still on track for release in the early part of 2009. That’s according to a report by the British Web site T3, which recently “spotted” the device.
The product, first announced by Garmin nearly a year ago, was delayed in July due to “difficult meeting carriers’ requirements,” the company said at the time. It has, however, launched a Web site for the device, at www8.garmin.com/nuvifone
