Mitsubishi and Israeli semiconducting chip maker Amimon, Inc. announced that they have teamed up to produce a wireless HDTV. The unit will come in only two piece- the thin LCD panel, and a receiver.
“Mitsubishi selected Amimon’s wireless technology for its robustness and its ability to deliver high-quality HD video in the home environment.” Amimon vice president of marketing Noam Geri said as part of the announcement. “Mitsubishi selected Amimon’s wireless technology for its robustness and its ability to deliver high-quality HD video in the home environment.”
The product is set to arrive in Japan this fall; no timetable has yet been announced for North American release.
