Hitachi on Monday announced a new camcorder that can record onto the Blu-ray Disc format. The DZ-BD10HA is the company’s latest Blu-ray Disc Hybrid Camcorder, and can record onto Blu-ray Disc, hard drive and SDHC formats.
The camcorder comes equipped with 7 mega pixel CMOS image sensor and Full HD capability, as well as one-touch dubbing, which can transfer video from the drive or SDHC card to a Blu-ray Disc. Also available is face-detection capability.
The new camcorder is capable of recording up to 8 hours and 40 minutes of 1440×1080 video, and 4 hours and 20 minutes of 1920×1080 video.
The DZ-BD10HA is set to arrive in North America in September, at a suggested retail price of $1099.
