Eye-Fi Inc. who has the claim to fame of making the first wireless memory card, just introduced the Eye-Fi Pro X2 16GB Class 10 card, which increases both your storage and speed capabilities while delivering wireless upload of photos and videos from your camera.
The 16GB wireless memory card has twice the storage of the prior Pro X2 card, and the Class 10 performance delivers faster read and write speeds—for the same retail price of $99.99. Like Eye-Fi’s other X2-series cards, the new Pro X2 lets you wirelessly connect a camera to a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, or use an authorized Wi-Fi network to move content directly to your computer.
The Eye-Fi Pro X2 16GB Class 10 Wireless Memory Card has key features that include:
- Ability to instantly upload images to a home computer, smartphone or tablet, either connecting wirelessly to the device with direct mode or over a Wi-Fi network.
- The capability to set cards to automatically free up space after photos/videos are transferred.
- Support for the transfer of high-res RAW files.
- Automatic backup to a home computer.
The new Eye-Fi Pro X2 card can automatically share with selected social networks or photo-sharing sites like Facebook and Flickr, and boast Eye-Fi’s auto-WPS geotagging feature, which tags photos so you can instantly see where images were taken.
You can get the Eye-Fi Pro X2 16GB wireless card for $99.99 and with the launch of the 16GB card, the previous Eye-Fi Pro X2 8GB and the Eye-Fi Mobile X2 8GB are being reduced to $79.99 and $59.99, respectively. Learn more at eye.fi.
