Golden, CO—Pentax Imaging’s Optio RZ10 compact has a 10x optical zoom lens to capture subjects from travel and landscape to action and sports, as well as handy functions that make photo shooting effortless.
Its 28-280mm equivalent zoom offers high-magnification from wide angle to telephoto, and a 1cm macro focus settings. Using its “intelligent zoom,” the range id extended 67x to cover the 1876mm super-telephoto focal length. The 14MP camera provides dual shake reduction (SR, mechanical sensor-shift and digital image stabilization) for blur reduction and an upgraded auto picture mode with 16 shooting modes (including pet) for “hands-off” selection of the best settings.
Other features include: widescreen HD 720p video capture with movie SR; auto face detection (32 faces); a 2.7-inch LCD; burst shooting of 40 images at 9.1 images/sec; digital filters, including toy camera and retro, to add creative visual effects; digital panorama mode; and support for wireless Eye-Fi memory cards. Its improved pet mode comes in handy when taking pictures of dogs and cats. This upgraded function not only assures greater accuracy in detecting three preregistered faces of dogs and cats, but it is also capable of automatically detecting unregistered faces of dogs and cats, unlike the previous function.
