Samsung-galaxy-camera-reviewsTo deliver the best of both worlds, Samsung’s Galaxy Camera combines high-end photography with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and 4G mobile Internet connectivity. The point-and-shoot camera offers a familiar user interface and access to the entire universe of Android applications from Google Play.

The Galaxy Camera doesn’t just capture your memories in photos and Full HD 1080p video, it lets you use voice commands, share images and videos instantly, and take full advantage of your favorite apps.

Touted as “a perfect fit for those who wish to shoot, edit, and share brilliant photographs and video easily and quickly without connecting to a laptop or PC,” the camera features a 4.8-inch screen, a 21x optical zoom and 23mm wide-angle lens, blur-fighting optical image stabilization, and a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor for shooting images close up and in low light.

To help you shoot like the pros, you can go fully automated, fully manual, or select a setting (like aperture or shutter priority) and let the camera figure out the rest. With Samsung S Voice, you can also tell your camera what to do; it will respond to commands like “smile,” “record video,” and “zoom in.” Powered by a quad-core 1GHz processor, the camera includes Smart Pro Mode technology, which lets you toggle through a series of preset options to simplify the processes of taking images.

“Wirelessly enabling Samsung’s Galaxy camera will create a significant shift in how consumers share and communicate with photos and videos,” said Chris Penrose, senior vice president, AT&T Emerging Devices. “By posting instantly to social networking sites or sending directly to another device, the person behind the lens is essentially offering family and friends the opportunity to share in the moments as they are actually experiencing them.”

In addition, with Photo Wizard, you can edit your photos right in the camera—adjust brightness and color, add effects, crop, and more. And using Video Editor, you can delete and rearrange scenes, add music, and insert text. Plus, you’ll see every detail on the 4.8-inch HD Super Clear touch-screen LCD.

Other Samsung Galaxy Camera features include:

AllShare Play, which locates Samsung HDTVs, laptops, and other devices on the same Wi-Fi network that are ready to receive photos and videos; you can remotely access files from the camera with other devices on your home network;

Share Shot, which enables the camera to automatically sends images it captures to Galaxy S III and Note devices 200 feet away; and

Buddy Photo Share, which automatically tags faces of device contacts in photos to make it easy to share with them.
