Camcorder Review
Secaucus, NJ—Along with a host of sleek new digital cameras, including new enhanced DualView models, Samsung debuted several camcorders at CES 2011, including the super compact HMX-Q10 Full HD (high-definition) camcorder.
Measuring 1.7×2.1×4.7 inches, the Q10 offers 1080/60i Full HD video recording with “one-button” operation. It provides up to 20x zoom and employs a 10x optical Schneider-Kreuznach Varioplan HD lens.
Other features include: a Back Side Illuminator (BSI) sensor; a modeless sequence; auto power on/off; auto-switching to playback mode by turning the LCD screen; a switch grip with auto-rotation to self-correct images; and duo optical image stabilization. Ease-of-use features include an easy manual mode and Samsung’s Smart Access user interface with simple touch recognition. Smart Access UI gives users the ability to drag, click and control app-style intuitive icons. The Smart Access UI can be used to flip through photos, control camera features, including aperture and shutter speed, and add and preview special effects.
